Everyone knows that some breed-related conditions are linked to genetic inheritance. Any initiative which encourages responsible owners and Breeders to identify dogs carrying genes which could be passed on to their offspring and cause further disease in offspring should be welcomed.

Initially it is planned that around £150,000 per annum will be made available.
