VETERINARY FEES AND STANDARDS

First broadcast on www.provet.co.uk

This information is provided by Provet for educational purposes only.

You should seek the advice of your veterinarian if your pet is ill as only he or she can correctly advise on the diagnosis and recommend the treatment that is most appropriate for your pet.

In surfing the web looking at pet health message boards there are two common themes that are raised by many pet owners....

  1. Where can they get independent advice about their pet's health problems, and
  2. Complaints about the perceived high cost of veterinary services.....including can they get drugs cheaper on the Internet ?

Provet would like to receive YOUR VIEWS on veterinary fees and on the standards of veterinary advice. Why do owners seek to find independent advice on pet health care issues ? Don't they trust their own veterinarian ? Do they just want something for free ? Are veterinarians good communicators ? How could veterinary practices improve communication with their clients ? Do you think vets charge too much for their services and for drugs ?

Please send your frank comments to feedback@provet.co.uk . All feedback will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Thank YOU
