Computer Equipment

To participate in the Telemedicine revolution you will need the following equipment :

• A modern fast PC * (eg 350Mhz or faster) with an Intel Processor (Pentium or Celeron)

• CD-ROM Drive

• Medical standard high quality video capture card

• Windows '98

• A fast data/fax modem 56k or higher - or an ISDN link (eg BT Highway)

• An Internet Service access account (eg BT Internet)

• Insight image digitizing software

• Communications software for image teleportation

• Relational database software for image management

* Your computer will need ports to receive input from your equipment including :

• Ultrasound equipment

• Video camera/player

• Digital camera

• XRay scanner

• ECG Machine

Accessory equipment includes :

• Medical standard high resolution digital camera

• Digital scanner for XRays

• Radiograph illuminator box

• Purpose built steel cart with baked enamel finish
