A herbicide, fungicide and insecticide available only in mixtures. Used mainly for treatment of wood (building frames, carpentry, floor boards, fencing) as a wood preservative, often in association with an insecticide such as lindane and previously with other organochlorines (aldrin, dieldrin). It is frequently available with tributyltin oxide (TBTO).
