A contact organophosphorous insecticide for soil and foliar treatment, available commercially in the form of suspensions, granules, powders and concentrated emulsions. Diazinon is also used therapeutically for external use (against sheep blowfly, ked, mange, ticks, sheep scab and poultry mite).
