Attenuated Systemic Several different ones available Original FCV vaccines based on strain F9. Most vaccines protect against majority of isolates, but not as well against all.
  Convenient to administer Care needed with administration since if reaches oral/respiratory mucosa by mistake, can cause disease.
    Should not generalise, but can do in some cases
Intranasal Induces better and more rapid (2-4 day)protection; useful for stray cat homes or during disease outbreak More difficult to administer Side effects of sneezing and sometimes other signs
  May be useful in young kittens  
Inactivated Systemic Convenient to administer Adjuvants may occasionally cause reaction
  Safe in pregnant queens May not be such good immunity
  Useful in virus free colonies  
  No reversion to virulence
