• The usual treatment is surgical removal. Oral dapsone at 50 mg twice a day for 2 weeks may be worth trying.
• Haemolytic anaemia and neurotoxicity have been reported with dapsone so the canine dose rate of 1 mg/kg three times daily may be more appropriate.
• Recurrence of lesions at the same or other sites often occurs.
