Most frequently associated with Isospora spp in cats and dogs. Although sometimes associated with diarrhoea, Isospora spp infections are normally asymptomatic, and co-infection with other enteric pathogens or immunosuppression should be suspected if diarrhoea is seen. Potentiated sulphonamides (15mg/kg orally three times daily) are probably the first line of treatment.
