CANINE BRUCELLOSIS CLINICAL SIGNS

Abortion of partially autolysed fetuses
at 45-55 days of gestation.

Early embryonic death may also occur
but is usually missed and the bitch will be presented as having failed to conceive.

In males there may be scrotal swelling
due to epididymitis and loss of fertility.

Constant licking may lead to moist dermatitis
on scrotum.

May also see lethargy, generalised lymphadenitis
and loss of libido.

Rarely, infection has also been associated
with osteomyelitis, discospondylitis or recurrent uveitis.
