Description
Pallor is the term used to describe the appearance of very pale, white visible mucous membranes such as the tongue and gums in the mouth , the sclera and conjunctival membranes of the eye, and the lining of the vulva.
Pallor can be caused by a variety of conditions including anaemia, poor circulation as occurs in heart disease, and local circulatory disturbances.
