DYSENTERY

Description
Dysentery is a term used to describe watery diarrhoea with fresh blood present in it.

Occurrence
It is a term rarely used to describe diarrhoea in cats and dogs (though it is used in other species such as rabbits, and farm species). Canine parvovirus infection can certainly produce severe diarrhoea that could be called dysentery.
