The Author

Born in South Africa, Richard Parkes moved to the United Kingdom in the 1970’s to complete a veterinary education at Cambridge. His great affection for both his native and adoptive countries colours the pages of this book. Richard now lives with his Danish wife, Heidi, in the market-town of Alresford in Hampshire.
